Recipe for Russian salad a.k.a Olivier salad

Olivier salad, also known as Russian Salad, was originally invented by Lucien Olivier for the Hermitage restaurant in Moscow in the 1860’s; it was then adapted by Ivan Ivanov, who later sold the recipe for publication.

Over the years, this salad recipe has gain popularity all over the world.

Ingredients For Russian Salad 🥗

1️⃣1 Cup Peas
Carrots 🥕 peeled and diced
2️⃣1 Large Potato🥔(peeled) and boiled

3️⃣ Mayonnaise
4️⃣1 Tbsp Salt

5️⃣1 Tbsp White pepper, powdered

6️⃣Two hard boiled eggs

Procedures on how to make Russian Salad 🥗

✅Boil or steam the chopped  vegetables to a bite like consistency, drain and allow to cool .

✅Peel the potatoes. Dice them into ½-inch cube shapes boil till soft, and then put them into a medium serving bowl.

✅Toss the carrots and a cup of steamed peas into the bowl with the potatoes.

✅Peel and dice your hardboiled eggs.

✅When cool, mix everything together without adding the mayonnaise yet.

✅ Finally, Stir in the mayonnaise little by little  and add more if you think that the salad needs more binding together.

✅Cover the salad and chill for at least one hour or more to allow the flavors to come together.
